Devin Wiley is an M.D./Ph.D. student at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and Caltech Chemical Engineering. His Caltech research, under Professor Mark Davis, explores new ways of delivering drugs to the brain that may lead to improved treatment of numerous brain diseases including Alzheimer's disease. His research focus is on understanding how nanoparticles can be designed and created to safely and effectively deliver therapeutic agents into the brain. Beyond medicine, research, and life at Caltech, Devin is a private pilot, ironman athlete, white water enthusiast, and a concert pianist. He has won several piano competitions and given benefit concerts both in the United States and France. His dedication to community service and the arts on the national and international level won him the Engineering Honor Society Tau Beta Pi Laureate Award and the University of Arizona Foundation College of Engineering Outstanding Senior Award.
